On 31st October 2020 (Sat), we participated in the online event “The Story of Gardening” organised by oikos Hong Kong, a student-led organisation promoting sustainability in fields of business and economics. The event aimed to raise students’ awareness of Hydroponics and Aquaponics. Johnny from Wing Lam Hydroponics Farm which is one of Intelligent Accounting’s partners was invited to share his experience as a local farmer.
在2020年10月31日 (六)，我們參加了由致力推動可持續發展的學生組織oikos Hong Kong舉辦的在線論壇。活動的目的是希望引起青年對水培法及魚菜共生系統的關注。 他們邀請了智能會計的合作夥伴之一 – 永林水培農場作為嘉賓，分享自身從事本地農業的經驗。
What will happen when Sustainability and Technology meet? Our member Kas showed up in the forum to demonstrate how the Internet of Things (IoT) could be applied to control the greenhouse's condition. DIY setup of hydroponics can be done at home too. In order to let students gain hands-on experience, we hence sponsored 5 micro:bit as a present for them to explore the fun of coding!
我們相信創新科技能夠為可持續發展帶來無限可能。我們的成員Kas也出席了是次活動，示範了如何應用物聯網（IoT）技術來控制農場的溫室狀況。水培法所需的設備十分簡單，同學們在家也可以自行設置。我們衷心希望學生能夠親身嘗試應用物聯網（IoT）技術，特此為參與者贊助一些傳感器作為紀念品。我們堅信，通過不斷的努力，我們可以與未來的領導者共建可持續發展的社會！
